Our Manly Studio location speaks for itself, the perfect combination of beach and fitness, services the immediate and surrounding suburbs of Queenscliff, Fairlight, Balgowlah and Freshwater, while our Crows Nest Studio services the immediate and busy surrounding suburbs of St Leonards, North Sydney, Neutral Bay and even CBD workers traveling to and from work! Our third studio in Glebe is centrally located in the funky Inner West of Sydney, servicing not only Glebe but the surrounding suburbs of Pyrmont, Forest Lodge, Leichhardt, Annandale, Camperdown and Ultimo, situated alongside the University of Sydney. And finally our fourth and newest studio located in the Sydney City CBD attracts all the attention and convenience of City workers while being located in the pristine, heritage listed Dymocks Building situated between Wynyard and Town Hall Train Stations on bustling George Street.
Traditional -vs- Dynamic Pilates
Traditional Pilates is focused on building strength without bulk while also improving flexibility and agility and helping to prevent injury. Its main focus is on correct posture, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. Dynamic is defined as energetic or forceful, something in constant change or motion. Dynamic Pilates Australia offers a variety of innovative Pilates classes combining the principles of traditional Pilates while also delivering an exciting and more challenging full body workout, setting you on your way to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
The Dynamic Pilates Style: Studio, Reformer & Barre Pilates
The classes offered by Dynamic Pilates Australia are undertaken on either the Pilates Reformer machine, Barre apparatus, Cadillac, Wunda Chair or Ladder Barrel. Reformer machines take your workout to the next level by providing additional resistance to your normal routine, on top of the same or similar techniques found in traditional Pilates, rapidly increasing tone, strength and flexibility. While Barre Pilates is a combination of the benefits found in traditional Pilates, ballet and yoga, this new age and contemporary adaptation has been designed to give you an alternative total body workout, burning fat and improving tone and flexibility. The Cadillac, a 6 feet tall apparatus, appears like a four post bed and has all the bells and whistles required for an alternate, anti-gravity workout that features leg springs, arm springs, fuzzy loops to hang from, a push-through bar to stretch out and even a trapeze! Meanwhile the Wunda Chair simply consists of a seat and a pedal with connected springs that cater for adjustment of resistance, suiting any need from post-rehabilitation to athletic conditioning. And finally the Ladder Barrel challenges core stability and strength for every Pilates enthusiast. This piece is designed for serious core conditioning and to increase flexibility and mobility. Our Crows Nest and Glebe studios offer Reformer and Barre Pilates, while our Manly and Sydney City CBD studios offer Reformer and Studio Pilates. Our Manly studio also hosts BASI Instructor Training. Private and Semi-Private sessions are available at all four studios utilising some or all of the before-mentioned equipment.
